Byndoor: Budget contribution to the Baindoor

Kundapur, March 6: The government responded well for the demands of the fisheries of Baindoor. State government has ready to sanction the fund for construction of small port at Koderi near Nagooor at a cost of Rs 10 crore in the 2010 – 11 year budget.
Since 15 years fisher men are demanding for the Koderi port construction work. But government has not responded well. Baindoor zonal boat and fisheries association president Naveen Chandra Uppunda and leaders of the fisheries have submitted an appeal to government regarding port construction work at a cost of Rs 12 crore.
More than 30,000 fishermen are living in this region and they are dependant on Gangolli, Bhatkal, Honnavar port. More than 300 boats including trail and parsin boats are there in this region. They will start construction work as soon as possible. The assurance of Chief Minister Yeddyurappa and Shimoga MP B Y Raghavendra has fulfilled through this budget.
