Udupi: The Lokayukta police caught a Commercial Tax Inspector when he was allegedly receiving a bribe here on Friday. In a press release here, the Lokayukta police said that the Commercial Tax Inspector, T.R. Cheluvaraju, allegedly demanded bribe from a pigmy collector Prabhakar Nayak.
The Lokayukta police caught Mr. Cheluvaraju while he was allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs. 2,500. He was later produced before court which remanded him to judicial custody for 15 days.
