Udupi: Vande Mataram’ enters Guinness Record

Udupi, June 15: India’s national song has entered into Guinness World Record. The record for the largest simultaneous sing-along was organised by the Art of Living Foundation (India) and involved 104,637 participants singing India’s national song ‘Vande Mataram’ in Pune on January 12. ‘Antarnaad’ a grand Hindustani classical musical symphony hosted the programme at Pune.
The Art of Living had earlier entered the Guinness Book of World Records with 1,200 Mohiniattam dancers performing together on one stage in Kerala in 2006. The historic sitar concert titled ‘Brahm Naad’ which brought together 1,094 sitar exponents on one stage entered Guinness Book of World Records in New Delhi in 2008.
