Udupi, June 19: As a means of security ‘Metal detector’ was installed at Car Street in order to protect Shri Krishna mutt for terrorists, but on Thursday afternoon when a horse passed though this detector it got struck in it. The metal detector was damaged.

Police rushed to the spot. They searched for the owner of the horse and traced him in Car Street. Azgar the owner of the horse had come to ask assistance from Shri Shiroor Mutt seer as he was facing problem to earn his daily bread.

He said that the horse strayed from him and rushed into Car Street.

Udupi town police station PSI Swarna and Yadavad of DAR interrogated the owner of the horse.

Accused horse; punishment to owner
Though the horse was responsible for the damage of the detector which was installed for security purpose, but as per law the owner of the horse is to be punished. He has to either pay fine or get 15 days imprisonment
