Udupi: Niyamat Ali, president of the Udupi district unit of Popular Front of India (PFI), said on Monday that his organisation was providing various educational facilities to 1,006 students in the district as part of part of a nationwide campaign.
Mr. Ali told presspersons that the organisation had surveyed 1,084 houses in Udupi district.
It had chosen Kanchinadka, Hoode, Shiroor, Gangolli and Kundapur market for extending various facilities to students. In addition, surveys had been conducted in 63 small places.
