Kundapur:Coconut refinement factory gutted

Kundapur, June 26: The godown of Shri Ganesh Kalpataru coconut refinement and production factory at Koteswara NH 17 accidentally caught fire on Friday and incurred loss of more than Rs.14 lakhs.
This mishap occurred by short circuit and with the assistance of the fire fighter and localities fire was extinguished.
Coconut shells and copra stored in the godown was turned to char. And the office at the first floor has partially damaged.
Labourers seeing the fire immediately informed the owner Chandrashekar and fire extinguisher in Kundapur were informed; they rushed to the spot and tried to extinguish the fire.
After continuous three hours effort fire was brought to control.
SP Satish Kumar of Kundapur police station, chief of fire extinguishing squad Bharath Kumar, home guard chief commander Rajesh K C, and localities strived to extinguish the fire.
Fire fighter Sudhakar, who was indulged in extinguishing the fire fell ill and admitted to private hospital.
